Panama City Hotels
Panama City has taken its place as being the host to the world. This city has been revitalized as private investors have come into the city to build multi-million dollar condos and tall skyscrapers, including buildings with more than 100 floors. Casco Viejo, part of the original Panama City, full of 19th century buildings, has been given a face lift and been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Even with the city becoming a megalopolis, it's still surrounded by a tropical rainforest meaning that nature is never too far away. Travelers visiting Panama City can enjoy many nature sites in the area. About 15 miles from the city is Soberania National Park where visitors will find hiking trails, bird watching and wildlife. Metropolitan National Park is located close to the city and is great for hiking and seeing small wildlife such as lizards. Other nature parks in the area include Monkey Island, Limon Bay and Gatun Lake. There are many tour guides in the area that will take you around to see local sites. Consider heading to Reprosa, a factory that specializes in goldsmithing. At the end of the day, visitors can head back to discount hotels in the area to relax.
